Fortnite: Where to Find and How to Tame Raptors
Fortnite: Where to Find and How to Tame Raptors
Chapter 2, Season 6 is full of surprises. The latest of which is the arrival of velociraptors. Roaming the map and attacking anything in sight, these deadly dinosaurs aren’t to be trifled with. Unless, of course, you’re carrying the right materials.
Use The Hunter's Cloak to Tame Raptors
The best method to tame raptors is by crafting a Hunter’s Cloak using four bones and one piece of meat. When you’ve spotted your prey, don the cloak and run up to them. You should be able to tame the raptor right away (even without meat) as the cloak keeps them docile long enough to be domesticated.Where to Find Raptors in Fortnite
Raptors don’t seem to spawn on any given spot on the map. Even though their broken eggs can be seen in certain spots, these dinosaurs tend to roam all over. That said, we were able to lock down an area where you’re most likely to see a few. Shown on the map below, raptors seemed to appear in the area that encompasses The Spire, Boney Burbs, and Weeping Woods. You should be able to hear them calling out even before you see them. That’s not to say that they won’t spawn elsewhere. We also saw some in the areas around Colossal Crops. Multiple raptors always seemed to spawn in the area shown above though. They were constantly seen running in pairs near houses, roads, and rivers.Raptors make the best pets. They’re faster than wolves, do more damage to players and structures, and they’re dinosaurs. We’re here for the Jurassic Park vibes!
